The Advanced Semiconductor Academy of Malaysia (ASEM), formerly known as AI Nusantara, is a collaborative initiative by The Hive Southeast Asia and the Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation (Sidec). ASEM was officially rebranded on October 17, 2024, at the Smart City and Digital Economy Convention (SDEC) 2024, marking a strategic expansion from Artificial Intelligence (AI) to include the semiconductor industry. State-of-the-Art Training Facilities: ASEM has launched a cutting-edge training center with GPU resources at the Malaysia IC Design Park I, located in the Puchong Financial Corporate Centre (PFCC). This facility supports ASEM Education’s academic partners in delivering advanced research and training.
Scholarships for ASEM Education Students: Every student enrolled in ASEM Education receives a full scholarship, generously funded by the Selangor State Government, making semiconductor education accessible to aspiring engineers.
Expansion in Cyberjaya: ASEM is in the process of building a second IC Design Park in Cyberjaya, featuring a comprehensive training center, a clean room for semiconductor manufacturing, and EDA software tools available for educational use.
